EDUE411 영어 통사론


This course will review basic concepts of traditional grammar framed within current syntactic theorizing. Emphasis will be placed on properties of English grammar and how they relate to our understanding of syntax. Practical work with analyzing English sentences will reinforce concepts learned in class. Some comparisons will be drawn between English and other languages (notably Korean) to gain a deeper understanding of the grammar of English. Finally, the theoretical concepts discussed in class will be applied to practical tasks appropriate for classroom use.
